Michaella McCollum is back in Ireland.
The Tyrone native was released from prison in Peru earlier this year after serving a third of her sentence for smuggling cocaine.
New Peruvian legislation allowed for her early release although the authorities had dictated that she should remain in the country.
This sanction has obviously been lifted and a number of Irish journalists have this evening tweeted about Michaella’s arrival into Dublin.

In 2013, Michaella and Glasgow woman Melissa Reid were both sentenced to six years and eight months of jail time after 11kg worth of cocaine was found in their luggage.
Melissa is believed to have returned home to Scotland in June.
