More Luas Strikes going ahead today

Expect extra delays throughout Dublin City.

Traffic is likely to be a lot heavier around Dublin City today.

Luas drivers have called another day of industrial action in the ongoing pay dispute.

They confirmed the news that they will be on strike for 24hours saying, “Transdev, the Luas Operator, would like to advise customers that services on both the Red and Green Lines are not running on the following date due to strike action.”

This comes just less than one week after a previous strike day which caused traffic jams all over the city.

Passengers who were planning to get the Luas today need to plan an alternative mode of transport, but to be aware that Luas tickets will not be valid on services of other public transport service providers during these strike actions.

Normal services are expected to resume from 5:30am on Thursday 5th May.
