Motorcyclist in his 20s dies following two-vehicle collision in Dublin

The incident occurred on Thursday night.

A man, aged in his 20s, has died following a fatal road traffic collision in Dublin.

The incident took place at approximately 8.25pm on Thursday night (14 October) on the R136 in Lucan when a motorbike and a car collided.

The motorcyclist was taken to Connolly Memorial Hospital for treatment where he later passed away as a result of his injuries.

A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.

Nobody else was injured in the collision.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses, particularly any road users that were travelling in the vicinity at the time and who may have dash cam footage.
