Several members of the Gardaí suspended from the force over cocaine use

They are no longer on duty.

Four members of the Gardaí have been suspended after it emerged that they ingested cocaine. According to RTÉ, the Gardaí were apparently at a Christmas party when they allegedly took the drug. Reports claim that they were celebrating in a Kildare nightclub, yet it is unknown who brought the matter to their superiors. It is understood that the four members are all from locations in Leinster, but there has been no confirmation whether they are all based in the same station. The suspensions are part of a garda internal disciplinary probe, and no arrests have been made.
