The incident happened on Tuesday evening.
A murder probe is underway after a child was killed in Belfast. A woman has been arrested following the incident on Tuesday evening which involved two young children in the Ardoyne area. A domestic stabbing incident had been reported to the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service at 8.16 pm on Tuesday evening and it’s understood two children were taken to hospital.
The Police later confirmed that a child had died.

In their statement the PSNI confirmed that a murder investigation is now underway:
“Police have commenced a murder investigation following the death of a child in the Brompton Park area of north Belfast this evening and made one arrest in relation to this.”
