Looking for a new start?

If you are and you’re interested in working in the agricultural industry, then it may be in your interest to get on down to the Agri Careers Fair in the RDS in Dublin today.

Organised by the Irish Farmers Journal and open eir, the summit will highlight the opportunities that exist when the agricultural and technology sectors work together, including almost 1,100 real live roles that over 60 exhibiting companies are looking to fill on the day.

Employers are looking to fill a wide variety of roles from a wide range of applicants on the day, from graduate programmes to experienced positions in areas such as IT, accounting, engineering, marketing and human resources; a degree in agricultural science or a farming background is not essential to work in the agricultural industry.

A huge number of the roles will also be based in rural Ireland, which is good news for those living outside Dublin or for people who currently live in the capital and are looking to move back home.

Some of the roles that employers will be looking to fill on the day include:

  • Accountants
  • Marketing Communications Manager
  • Procurement Category Manager
  • Regional Sales Manager
  • Head of Brand Marketing
  • Business Development Managers
  • Chemical Engineers
  • T. Systems Administrators
  • T. Technical Support Analyst

  • Health & Safety Managers
  • Head of Planning (EMEA)
  • Management Trainees
  • Apprentice Technicians
  • Farm Managers
  • Farm Operators
  • Lab Technicians
  • Sales Advisors

The event takes place in the Main Hall of the RDS from 10am to 6pm on Thursday.
