It’s been a long time coming.
After almost four years of construction, the Luas trams are testing out the new cross-city route across Dublin this morning.
The new line connects the north district to the south and is expected to bring in millions of extra passengers to the service when it gets up and running in December.
The tests began at 7 am this morning and will continue throughout the day, travelling from St Stephen’s Green to College Green and on to O’Connell Street.
