Big changes in the station.

Today FM has just announced some big changes to its schedule. Louise Duffy will move from her afternoon slot to a brand new evening show on the station, while Fergal D’Arcy will take over the afternoon slot, currently held by Louise.

The new changes are due to come into effect this summer and comes as Louise announces the impending launch of her new business venture, a style and music focused website.

Commenting on her move, Louise said: “I’m delighted to have the chance to present a show that allows me to switch the focus to new music and emerging talent. Listeners to my show in the afternoons will know how passionate I am when it comes to discovering all the amazing new music that’s out there”.

She added, “ I knew it wasn’t feasible to be able to dedicate the time required to a new business venture and prepare for and present my afternoon show. I spoke to the guys here in the station and thankfully we made it work. Launching my own website is something I’ve wanted to do for quite some time now”.

Head of Programming at Today FM, Colm O’Sullivan said: “Louise’s new two-hour show will focus on her passion for new and specialist music that no other station currently offers successfully. This will be a radio programme with a distinctive edge, mixing a host of new tracks with lots of familiar cool classics too segueing nicely into the inimitable Paul McLoone Show.

“Fergal D’Arcy will bring his vast experience as a commercial radio and club DJ to the afternoons to deliver a music show, packed with Today FM classics and listener requests. I look forward to Fergal’s craic and interaction with the listener.”

Fergal will present afternoons on Today FM from early July while Louise will begin her new evening show in August.
