New weather warning issued this morning for LOTS of ice and snow

Wrap up and stay safe

Olivia Hayes

Be extra careful out there, lads.

A status yellow snow and ice warning has been set in place for Ireland.

This morning, Met Éireann said that the country will have scattered snow showers later today, as well as overnight and into tomorrow.

According to the website, moderate accumulations are possible, with up to 3cm falling in some counties.

The north and northwest counties are most at risk for ice.

A status yellow wind warning has also been set in place for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare and Kerry.

Storm Caroline is passing over us so it’s going to be a blistery one.
