New Look has announced that it will be closing 100 UK stores - yet it is unknown if any Irish branches will also be closing up shop.
In a bid to improve profitability, creditors agreed in March to shut 60 shops, however that has now grown to 85, with another 13 up for discussion.
At first, it was expected that 1,000 people could lose their job, but that number has now grown even higher as talks still continue with landlords.
According to the BBC, executive chairman Alistair McGeorge said that the situation will be the same fro many retailers as Brexit continues to cause "uncertainties."
He said: "Clearly the wider retail environment remains challenging and we are not expecting that to change anytime soon. However, we are on the right track and continue to drive further efficiencies across the business."
I think we can all agree that New Look is a great one to pop into when you're out and about, so hopefully very few in Ireland shut their doors.
