There are now two wind and rain weather warnings in place

Grim.

It continues…

If you can remember a day when we weren’t issued with a new weather warning of some sort, you’re lying.

It almost seems like we can’t go a whole 24 hours without the wind battering everyone around or the rain causing some sort of flood.

It’s been a pretty few grim months weather wise… and it’s only set to continue.

Met Éireann has extended the status yellow weather warning put in place last night for the entire country.

It was issued yesterday evening and is now valid until tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 9am.

“Southwest winds are expected to reach mean speeds of between 55 and 65 km/hr, gusting to 110 km/hr at times this evening and tonight.

“Winds will be strongest in Western and Northwestern counties and along the Southeast coast, and may briefly exceed these values.”

Another status yellow rain warning has since been issued for six counties too.

Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo and Clare will be affected by the rainfall expected to total between 25mm and 35mm between tonight and tomorrow morning at 10am.

Not exactly the best news if you were planning an almost-mid-week soirée, to be honest.
