Anyone with information on the incident is urged to come forward.
A man in his 30s has died following a road traffic collision in Mayo on Monday evening (27 December).
Two cars collided on the N60 at Breaffy in Castlebar around 5.40pm.
The passenger of one of the cars received fatal injuries and later passed away.
Three men and one woman were taken to Mayo General Hospital to receive treatment following the collision but none of their injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision. Gardaí are also appealing to any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N60 Castlebar to Claremorris Road at this time, to make this footage available to them.
