Ah we love a love story!
Yesterday, Rory O’Neill, who we know as Panti Bliss, announced that he had married his long term partner Anderson Cabrera.
Rory announced the news through his Instagram yesterday, posting two gorgeous snaps from the day.
He captioned the post:
“So… it was a big day for us.” – a big day indeed lads.
Fans and friends were quick to comment on the sweet snaps, showing their support for the new married couple.
“Massive congratulations to you both!” wrote one follower.
Another said: “Congratulations to the Queen of Ireland, and I guess now the…. Prince of Ballinrobe?”
Yeah, we support that title.
Rory has already changed his name on social media, double barreling his surname with his new husband’s. How cute is that?
The wedding was a small one, with a handful of guests in attendance.
Among them was RTE presenter Brendan Courtney, along with Rory’s adoring parents who took centre stage in the wedding snaps he uploaded to social media.
Comedian David O’Doherty, singer Lisa Hannigan and DJ Jenny Greene were also in attendance.
Panti Bliss, who is a Mayo native, was heavily involved in the same-sex marriage campaign and has also spoken extensively about living with HIV since 1995.
Huge congrats to the happy couple!
