A baby girl in England is set to have her arms and legs amputated in the coming weeks, just days after taking her first steps.
Harmonie-Rose Allen from Bath in Somerset is only 11 months old yet is facing into a massive operation after being rushed to hospital. The little girl contracted meningitis and when she arrived at the hospital her arms and legs had turned black.
Doctors then told her parents, Freya Hall and Ross Allen, that she will need to have her arms and legs amputated.
“Doctors told us it was the worst case they had seen in three years and they really didn’t think she would make the journey to the hospital,” Mr. Allen said. “It was absolutely horrible, she was lucky to survive.”

The surgery will take place in the coming weeks and her parents are now calling on people to support them as they try to raise money for little Harmonie-Rose.
“We are hoping that we can buy her two pairs of prosthetics, arms and legs that she can walk on,” Mr. Allen continued. “This will cost us about £40,000 - £20,000 per set – and we’re hoping we can get her some pink ones.”
The family has set up a donation page on Facebook and have also organised a charity run to raise vital funds for their little girl.
