In December of 2007, 18-year-old Leanne Wolfe was found dead in her home by her sister, having overdosed on medication in order to commit suicide.
Her family later discovered Leanne's personal diaries and discovered that their daughter had been the victim of intense physical, verbal and psychological bullying for over three years.
Leanne's parents Colette and Anthony Wolfe were on The Late Late Show last night to talk about their daughter ten years on.
Leanne's parents had been away on a foreign trip when they received the call about their daughter, and in the years since the incident, have become public speakers on the topic of anti-bullying.
But despite the tragedy that has befallen their family, The Wolfes do not have a negative message for the bullies:
"Nobody goes out their deliberately to hurt people, I don't think".
Colette Wolfe goes on to quote her own daughter from the diary she had been writing in leading up to her death:
"Leanne wrote something when she was 15, and I thought it was very deep. 'Think of what you say to someone; it can leave a lasting effect.'"
