It was announced today that Pat Kenny has parted company with UTV Ireland just over a year since he joined the station according to a report from VIP Magazine.
A spokesperson for the channel stated: “We were delighted that Pat was part of the UTV Ireland in the launch year and we look forward to working with Pat again if suitable opportunities arise.”
Kenny had been presenting a series of one-on-one interviews in his show In The Round, but poor viewership figures for the channel, in general, are said to be to blame. Guests included astronaut Chris Hadfield and Shane Filan.
At present, Kenny continues to present his mid-morning show on Newstalk 106-108FM.Featured Image: Irish Mirror
