Patrick Clancy has asked the public to forgive his wife after she killed their three children. The Massachusetts family suffered the ultimate loss last week when Patrick’s wife took their three children’s lives before attempting to take her own.

Their three children Cora, Dawson, and Callan were found on January 24th at the family’s home in Massachusetts.

Their 5-year-old daughter Cora and 3-year-old son Dawson were pronounced dead at the scene.

7-month-old Callan was rushed to hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

His wife Lindsay Clancy faces multiple charges including two for murder, three for assault and battery with a deadly weapon, as well as strangulation.

Clancy is a former labour and delivery nurse.

Patrick has issued a statement following the deaths of his three children.

Writing on a GoFundMe fundraiser for the father, Clancy said he’s “completely lost” without his children.

He told the public;

“Any parent knows it’s impossible to understand how much you will love your kids until you have them. Cora, Dawson, and Callan were the essence of my life and I’m completely lost without them.”

Patrick said becoming a father and a husband meant everything to him.

“They gave me purpose and I never took it for granted. There is now a massive void where that purpose once was.”

Patrick said the public doesn’t know what the real Lindsay was like. He explained that their marriage was “wonderful” and they grew stronger “as her condition rapidly worsened”.

Lindsay was suffering from postpartum depression and anxiety at the time of the murders.

Medical experts now fear she was suffering from postpartum psychosis.

“I want to ask all of you that you find it deep within yourselves to forgive Lindsay, as I have.

“The real Lindsay was generously loving and caring towards everyone – me, our kids, family, friends, and her patients. The very fibers of her soul are loving.”

He continued, “All I wish for her now is that she can somehow find peace.”

Patrick said he owes it to his children to heal from this tragedy. “I don’t know how or when I’ll be able to do it, but your love and generosity will help me get started. I know that love always wins.”

“Cora, Dawson, and Callan, you gave me so much in your short time here. I don’t know if the pain will ever go away, but I’ll do my best to carry on in your honor. Dada loves you so much and will always remember you.”
