A pedestrian in Donegal has been killed after he was struck by a car on his way home from St Stephen's night celebrations.
According to RTÉ, the man in his 20s was walking on a road at Sandhill in Dunfanaghy, at about 4.15am.
He was struck by a car carrying three passengers, a man and two women, none of which were injured in the incident.
Gardaí have confirmed that the road is closed and a technical examination will follow.
