Pedestrian dies following collision in Co. Tipperary

The incident took place on Castle Street in Cahir.

A pedestrian has passed away following a car crash in Co. Tipperary.

As reported by RTÉ, the man, who was in his 70s, was killed following the collision which took place on Castle Street in Cahir yesterday at approximately 5:50pm.

He was subsequently taken to Cork University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the car involved in the collision didn’t sustain any injuries.

The street has since been closed to allow a technical examination to take place. Diversions have been put in place.
