The incident took place on Castle Street in Cahir.
A pedestrian has passed away following a car crash in Co. Tipperary.
As reported by RTÉ, the man, who was in his 70s, was killed following the collision which took place on Castle Street in Cahir yesterday at approximately 5:50pm.
He was subsequently taken to Cork University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the car involved in the collision didn't sustain any injuries.
The street has since been closed to allow a technical examination to take place. Diversions have been put in place.
The Gardaí are currently appealing to any witnesses to come forward, as well as any road users who may have dash cam footage of the incident. Those with information can contact Cahir Garda Station 052 744 5630 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
