Add us as a preferred source on Google »Penneys has been a staple in Irish high streets for decades, and it's one brand that parents heavily rely on.
We get everything from pyjamas to holiday clothes and school staples in the affordable retailer.
As a brand, Penneys is ever-changing, and their latest change is one of the best yet.
The retailer has confirmed that they're introducing sensory-friendly options to their children's collections.
They've made small tweaks like removing neck labels and redesigning sock seams to help children.
The team shared:
"Clothes that feel right, right from the start. We’ve made quiet changes to our bestselling basics, like removing neck tags and introducing seamless and flatseam socks – to make them softer, simpler, and better for everyday wear."
The team continued, "In a world that often rushes toward bold statements, our sensory-friendly options are taking a quieter path, making small but significant changes to the clothes that your little ones already know and love."
"Subtle tweaks such as removing neck labels and re-designing sock seams aim to support freedom of movement, sensory ease, and all-day comfort. No extra cost, no added fuss. Just better essentials, available in every store and for every child."
Ann Marie Cregan, Trading Director at Primark, stated:
"We want all kids to feel great in their clothes, so they can focus on what matters - being themselves.
"This isn’t about creating a new and special range, it’s about improving our kids’ clothes, thinking about inclusive design from the very start and removing or sometimes adding features, so that they work harder for more children and more families."
The team said the aim of the sensory-friendly clothes is to help kids feel better in their clothes because "when kids feel right in their clothes, they feel right in their world."
