But this fella had the perfect response to it.

Don’t get caught out…

Finding accommodation in Ireland’s cities is more difficult than ever these days and there are always those looking to take advantage of those desperate to find a place to stay.

We’ve heard some horror stories of rental accommodation scams and poor standards of housing around the capital, so it’s important to be mindful when looking for house or apartment.

Adrian Kenny was searching for lodgings in Cork city recently and found this lovely spot online in a Facebook group, but the “landlord” was looking for a month’s rent and a deposit in advance, all in all €1,200, to be wire transferred to them.

A quick google of the email address brings up rental groups in a whole host of European cities where the scam is being carried out, but luckily, Adrian had the perfect response to them.

So….. I recently moved into an awesome new apartment in Cork city…. BUT….. Before I found it I did a lot of searching and replying to ads…. One ad I found was on a Facebook page with places to rent in Cork….. Little did I realise that the person was a SCAMMER who had placed the same ad on Facebook pages all over Europe and was looking for deposit and rent via western union with the promise of sending the keys by UPS!

Read on and PLEASE SHARE!!!!!

I realised that something was up almost straight away when I asked for photos of the apartment which was advertised as being in Lapps Quay in Cork city and one photo showing the view out of the downstairs window was definitely NOT in cork!

So I googled the email address I had contacted and hey presto! Ms Felicia Delgios was a famous scammer !

So I decided to have some fun with the dumb crook who I learned struggles with the English language as you’re going to see in my emails !

Be careful out there folks…. Some people MIGHT just be dumb enough to fall for something just Like this!

Enjoy

As Adrian wrote, he copped the scam fairly early on…

Adrian noticed that the photo clearly wasn’t taken in Lapps Quay in Cork.

Now, this is when Adrian realised it was all a big scam and decided to have some fun with it.

Of course, the scammer thinks it’s legit.

And it just keeps on going…
