The footballer has been missing for a number of weeks.
It has been reported that wreckage of the plane that was carrying Premier League footballer Emiliano Sala has been found on the seabed of the English Channel.
Sky News correspondent Tom Parmenter broke the news on Twitter last night, and said that the families of Emiliano and the pilot had been informed.
Last Monday, debris from the missing aircraft was recovered, believed to be from the inside of the plan.
After over £324,000 was raised online to fund a new private investigation, the search for Emiliano Sala was restarted on Sunday.
Marine scientist David Mearns, who led the search, confirmed his findings on Twitter, positively identifying the plane.
The Argentinian footballer had just signed for Cardiff in January.
On Saturday, Cardiff paid numerous tributes to the missing man, holding a minute of silence before kickoff.
