Police in Wales discover three bodies after friends went missing after night out

Heartbreaking.

Police in Wales have found three bodies after a group of friends went missing after a night out.

Two others were discovered with serious injuries.

Police launched an investigation after the five friends went missing on March 4th.

They were last seen in the early hours of the morning on Saturday.

Sadly, police discovered the car they were last seen in shortly after midnight on March 6th.

According to reports, the car was involved in a road accident. Following the crash, the car came off the A48.

Darcy Ross (21), Eve Smith (21), and Sophie Russon (20) were all reported missing.

Shane Loughlin (32) and Rafel Jeanne (24) were also in the car at the time of the accident.

Police confirmed two of the friends were being treated for serious injuries in hospital.

Gwent Police stated;

“Following enquiries to locate five people who were reported as missing, officers have found the car they were last seen in, in the St Mellons area of Cardiff.

“The VW Tiguan was recovered just after midnight on Monday 6 March. It’s believed the car was involved in a road traffic collision and then came off the A48.

“Three of those who were reported missing have been found deceased. Two have been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

“Specialist officers are supporting the families of those involved.”

Police investigations are ongoing.
