Policeman rescues baby and pops him in the station sink for a bath

HOW cute...

When Virginia State Police pulled over a suspected drunk driver at the side of the road, they did not expect to find a one-year-old baby in the back seat.

The tiny infant, covered in vomit, was rescued from the vehicle at a routine traffic stop and brought back to the station. Faced with a wait for Child Protective Services to arrive however, Senior Trooper D.C. Graham, himself a father, couldn’t leave the tot to remain covered in vomit, urine and faeces.

Instead, the caring cop did what any dad would do and ran a warm bath in the sink of the staff kitchenette. Once the little boy was warm and clean, he wrapped him in a towel and rocked him in his arms until Child Services could take over.

Trooper BR Wood told the Bluefield Daily Telegraph:

“He was the best little baby. He had just started to nod off when CPS (Child Protective Services) arrived,

“Apparently, he had been under the weather for a bit.
“The baby has now been placed with a legal guardian. He is safe at this time and under the supervision of CPS.”
