And we need more family-friendly and flexible workplaces, and affordable childcare, for everyone.”Last year, Australian parliamentary rules were changed to allow mothers breastfeed in the chamber. Children were previously banned in the chamber and breastfeeding mothers had to leave the chamber in order to feed their babies. This caused massive controversy as women were missing out on parliamentary duties and crucial votes as a result.
