It was only this day last week that the great Dress debate started, but the Salvation Army have come up with a genius campaign.

The picture of a dress which was divided in two colour camps meant you either saw the garment as black and blue or white and gold… but the Salvation Army have another question on their minds.

The now viral dress image has now been replicated in a poster featuring a bruised blonde woman lying on her side, wearing a white and gold version of the dress.

The incredibly provocative new advert has the tag line:

‘Why is it so hard to see black and blue?

‘The only illusion is if you think it was her choice. One in six women are victims of abuse. Stop abuse against women.’

The campaign was launched by the South African branch of the Salvation Army, with the campaign launched on Twitter this morning.
