Two members of the Russian punk group Pussy Riot have been arrested in Sochi.

According to the Associated Press, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina were part of a group of nine people accused of theft and detained in central Sochi, which is currently hosting the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.

It is believed that the group were in the city to film a Pussy Riot protest video entitled ‘Putin Will Teach You To Love The Motherland’ and both women have said that authorities used “force” during the detention. No charges have yet been filed and it is unknown how long the pair will remain in custody.

Alekhina and Tolokonnikova spent nearly two years in prison but were released in December. They were convicted of hooliganism after staging a protest in Moscow’s largest cathedral in opposition to President Vladimir Putin’s government.
