The reason Gerry Adams was refused entry to the White House on Tuesday has been revealed.
The Sinn Féin leader took to Twitter to post snaps of his official invitations to the White House after it was claimed he was refused entry to a St. Patrick’s Day event.
The Belfast man reportedly waited around for 90 minutes before giving up and leaving.

Now it has emerged that Mr. Adams was denied entry due to an IRA report on criminality that was sanctioned by the British Government in the aftermath of the Kevin McGuigan murder.
A report in the Sunday Independent says that the refusal was directly linked to October’s report which stated that the Provisional IRA still exists and is actively involved in organised crime.
However, the official line on the refusal from the US Secret Service was an “administrative input error”.
