According to reports, Richard Hammond is ‘conscious and talking’ following a car crash in the Swiss mountains.
The former Top Gear co-host was filming for his new show The Grand Tour when the horror accident happened and they have since released a statement.
Explaining that “Richard Hammond was involved in a serious crash, but very fortunately suffered no serious injury” the statement, released via Twitter, can be read in full below.

He managed to escape the vehicle before it burst into flames and after a full check-up, he appears to be in full health apart from a fractured knee.
Jeremy Clarkson, his Top Gear colleague who also works alongside him on The Grand Tour, has also tweeted about the accident, saying it was the ‘biggest’ and ‘most frightening’ crash he’d ever seen.
It was the biggest crash I’ve ever seen and the most frightening but incredibly, and thankfully, Richard seems to be mostly OK.
