The Midleton to Cork City road is closed and diversions are in place following a 14-vehicle collision this afternoon.
The incident occurred at around 3pm today on the N25 Dunkettle Interchange in Cork, some 600 metres on the city side of the Cobh interchange.
According to the Irish Times, Gardai have reported no serious injuries.
Emergency services are currently at the scene and the road remains closed until further notice.
Motorists are encouraged to take alternative routes.
