Television presenter Rolf Harris has been charged with nine counts of indecent assault on young girls and four counts of producing indecent images of children.
Harris who has been a regular on British television screens for over 40 years was interviewed under caution back in November of last year. Five days later officers searched his home in Bray, Berkshire.
Police investigating historical allegations of child sexual abuse arrested 83-year-old Harris in March.
Harris was amongst the third group of people, referred to as “others”, arrested as part of ‘Operation Yewtree’, which was set up in the wake of allegations against former BBC personality, Jimmy Saville.

Harris faces charges of: Six counts of indecent assault relating to a girl aged between 15 and 16, between 1980 to 81. Three offences of indecent assault relating to a girl aged 14 in 1986. Four offences of making indecent images of a child between March and July of 2012.
BBC News reports that the chief Crown prosecutor for London, Alison Saunders said: "Having completed our review, we have concluded that there is sufficient evidence and it is in the public interest for Mr. Harris to be charged with nine counts of indecent assault and four of making indecent images of a child.
"The alleged indecent assaults date from 1980 to 1986 and relate to two complainants aged 14 and 15 at the time of the alleged offending."
Harris is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 23rd September.
