RTÉ forced to axe Nathan Carter’s interview with an alleged paedophile

Nathan Carter’s TV show is due to air on our screens this Autumn.

The country singer has been left shocked as one of his interviewees has been arrested and charged with the rape of a child.

Nathan Carter, as part of his new show interviewed the father of The Willis Clan, a musical family group, however according to Sunday World the recording had to be pulled.

46-year-old Toby Willis, who is a father of 12, was arrested in Tennessee on Saturday, charged for an account of child rape which happened 12 years ago.

Toby has been accused of raping a nine-year-old child, who is a relative to the Willis family.

Press officer for the RTÉ, Sarah Neville, confirmed that the interview will not be shown on Nathan’s series.

“The interview with Toby Willis will not be featuring on the show.

The Willis Clan performed for Nathan and were recorded for the show, but it is not know if the musical section will be pulled also.

“A number of performers were filmed for the series, but not all of them will make the final series. No  decision has been made yet on what performances will make the final version of the show.”
