Add us as a preferred source on Google »RTÉ 2FM star Helen Galgey has finally told us how she really feels about her ex Seán Fitzgerald's appearance on Love Island.
Galgey, who co-hosts Weekend Breakfast on 2FM with Benny Bracken, previously dated the Galway GAA star turned Islander.
When Seán, better known to his fellow islanders as “Fitzy”, was announced as a contestant, Helen posted a stunned reaction video alongside the caption: “Solidarity with all my sisters finding out their ex is on Love Island today.”
However, despite Helen's initial shock, it appears there's no bad blood between her and Seán.
During one of her Q&A's on social media, Helen was asked if she would be commenting on Love Island while her ex is in the villa.
“I’ll be watching it like a hawk, but as far as commentating, no, I feel like enough people do that, and to be honest, I don’t consume any of that content,” she confessed.
Helen then went on to praise her ex, stating that she believes he's coming across very well on the reality show.
“I think Fitzy is so good, like the first episode I was like, ‘do something, do something’, but now I think he’s actually playing it smart,” she said.
“He’s lovely looking, and he doesn’t need to be doing all that, which I’m kind of glad.
“So it’s kind of cool that he’s just being chilled and laid back and, like, letting them come to him, so it’s he’s a full match.”
25-year-old Seán is currently coupled up with Lola, and as it's looking now, the pair is one of the stronger couples in the villa.
