TD and member of Anti-Austerity Alliance/ People Before Profit Ruth Coppinger is set to make history tomorrow.
The West Dublin TD will be the first woman ever nominated for the position of Taoiseach in the history of the state.
The party is nominating Coppinger, a staunchly pro-choice and feminist politician, to represent the needs and views of the Irish left which stand opposed to the current political establishment and power dynamic currently in place.
