A passenger on Ryanair, who bought every scratch card available on the flight, has been left stunned by the outcome.
In a bid to land a big win, Ryanair passenger Ethan decided to test his luck by purchasing all the scratch cards on board, but he didn’t anticipate how the experiment would turn out.
In a TikTok clip, Ethan and his friend Vik chronicled their adventure and captured the entire flight experience.
Ethan had purchased such a vast quantity that fellow Ryanair travellers had to pitch in and help scratch off the cards.
“We are here on Ryanair and this man Ethan has bought every single scratch card on the flight. I've opened about 100 scratch cards, I've been opening these one at a time”, Vik, who goes by Vikkstar on TikTok, explained in the clip.
“We have not won a single thing. We have won nothing - no one has won anything. I'll keep you guys posted”, he added.
As he continued to record the whole experience, Vik disclosed that his friend Ethan had acquired 68 packets of scratch cards. Yet, they had no luck.
“You're supposed to match three - I can't even match two. We've lost again”, he remarked. The pair were stunned they'd walked away empty-handed.
This whole scratch cards controversy on Ryanair isn’t new, as in a 2016 investigation, it was revealed that that jackpot winners are entered into a secondary draw for the opportunity to claim the prize of €1million.
The probability of securing the jackpot was reported at approximately 1.2billion to one. For context, winning the Lotto stands at one in 45million, whilst the EuroMillions odds are an eye-watering 139million to one.
