However, once the phone went on sale, reports of batteries exploding and catching on fire began to emerge.
The Galaxy note 7 will now be recalled worldwide, according to CNN.
A statement released by the company said that they will be recalling phones all over the world after the reports of the malfunction. The statement also said it would take about two weeks to prepare replacement devices for the phones that were already sold.
The sale of the phone has now come to a halt and it is unknown when it will begin selling again.
