The broadcaster reports that he wants to see how much time it will take until legislation could be published after the referendum at the weekend.
While the Bill could be finished before their summer break, it is more likely to be published during the Dáil recess in late July or August.
By then it is expected to move very quickly, with it being brought to the Seanad next September.
As well as the legislation, clinical guidelines will have to be created in conjunction with the new abortion laws.

66.4 percent of people voted ‘Yes’ to repeal the eighth amendment in yesterday’s referendum, with 33.6 percent voting ‘No’ to retain the amendment.
1,429,981 people voted to repeal the amendment.
