Singer Maud Reardon has appealed for help in finding an engagement ring, after it fell out of her bag in Dublin city centre last month.

The Maud In Cahoots star, who married middleweight boxer Andy Lee in 2013, this week revealed her anguish over losing the distinctive emerald ring, which is an heirloom that has been in the family for over 60 years.

She inherited the ring from her grandmother Margaret, who lived in New York all her life until she passed away aged 94 in 2010, and told GoMetro this week that it holds “great sentimental value to her and her family” and she is desperate to find it.

“I am absolutely devastated to have lost it. It meant a lot to me and am trying everything to find it,” she said.

The ring is described as emerald green with a thin, gold band and a number of small diamonds. She believes it may have fallen from her bag either outside the Project Arts Centre in Temple Bar, or while walking on Georges Street and Fenian Street on September 29th.
