Prospective and current iPhone users are being warned this week about a hoax that is going around which tells you (wait for it) that you can charge your iPhone by putting it in the microwave.
Yes. In. The. Microwave.
Unfortunately for our faith in the human race, supposedly many ‘smart’ phone users have actually tried it out..it was goodbye iPhone, hello charred and stinking microwave.
Wait … Is that #wave #ios8 thing true??? :/

The hoax is reportedly linked to a new feature on iOS 8 called Wave. According to a fake description, the feature will “interface with your device’s radio baseband, allowing it to synchronize with microwave frequencies and use them to recharge your battery.”
This is obviously nonsense, yet according to Twitter, iPhone users have actually tried it out…
This is the latest in a string of iOS hoaxes. Just remember – don’t put your phone in the microwave.
