Someone in Ireland is €500,000 richer after Friday night’s EuroMillions draw.

Tens of thousands of people throughout the country were no doubt hoping to see tie numbers come up, with the main EuroMillions jackpot worth an estimated €57 million.

And while that prize (sadly) went without a winner, someone did win the EuroMillions Plus prize.

The numbers for the draw – which has a €500,000 top prize – were: 3, 21, 34, 42 and 50.

According to the National Lottery, the ticket was sold in Cork. They urged everyone to double-check to see if they had the golden ticket.

The jackpot for the main draw has been rolling over since earlier this month, when someone in the UK won €138,716,863.

The winning numbers drawn for the jackpot tonight were 25, 27, 39, 42, 46 and the lucky stars were 11 and 12.

The numbers drawn were 22, 24, 31, 35 and 44. The tickets were sold in Cork and Louth.

The Cork winners were later revealed to be a nine-person work syndicate from Mallow – who won two years after some other colleagues claimed €369,000 in June 2017.

While collecting the prize, the leader of the syndicate told BreakingNews.ie:

“Our colleagues’ big win in 2017 certainly spurred us on to set up this syndicate and we’re delighted to win it as a group so soon after the last big win.

“There certainly wasn’t any jealousy at work but it kicked us into action to set up our own syndicate and it’s just unbelievable that there could be two winning syndicates at the same workplace in such a short space of time.

“Everybody back at [work] in Mallow is absolutely buzzing for us all.

“It is such a lovely amount to win together and while it won’t change our lives, €55,000 each will certainly allow us to make a lot of nice changes in our lives.

“There is great excitement among the group who are all planning on splashing out on some holidays, new cars while others are planning on putting the money towards deposits for new homes.”
