Stunt driver dies while filming scenes for Deadpool 2 in Vancouver

The accident happened early this morning.

A stunt driver has died on the set of Deadpool 2 after work on a scene involving a motorcycle went wrong. The name of the victim is yet to be released but it has been confirmed that the driver was a woman.

“Vancouver police can confirm that a female stunt driver has died on the set of Deadpool during a stunt on a motorcycle,” the police said in a statement.

Onlookers claim the stunt driver crashed through the glass of a studio in downtown Vancouver. The woman was reportedly the stunt double for actress Zazie Beetz who plays Domino in the film.

“We are deeply saddened by the accident that occurred on the set of Deadpool 2 this morning,” read a statement from Fox. “Our hearts and prayers are with the family, friends and colleagues of our crew member during this difficult time.”

An investigation into the accident is now underway.
