You might still need a brolly, but it’s looking good.
So, everyone will be delighted to know that after weeks/months/YEARS (OK, maybe not years), Ireland will see some warm weather today.
It’s been a long road, but it turns out Dublin will be the hottest place in the country with 18 degrees, which definitely is a difference to the -2 degrees we were suffering through last month.
Cloudy & misty at first, rain, drizzle & fog. Rain, largely confined to SW & W coasts this aft. Dry elsewhere, sunny spells developing. Highs 13 to 18 C., best in the E and midlands, but blustery at times, with fresh SE winds, increasing strong and gusty on exposed coasts.

According to Met Éireann, it will be misty to start, “but soon drying out, with bright spells developing later in the morning and some sunny spells this afternoon. Top temperatures 15 to 18 C., in fresh southeast winds, with the highest values inland.”
And tonight doesn’t look so bad either: “Most places dry, but some scattered patches of drizzle and fog also. Lowest temperatures 9 or 10 C., in moderate southerly breezes.”
The met.ie website also said that it is to “turn fresher” early next week, and we think it’s just about time we plan a few pints on the barge…
