Looks like the nice weather may be coming to an end for a while.
The sunshine and high temperatures that have dominated the weather across Ireland the last week could be coming to an end as Met Éireann has predicted a week filled with thunder and showers of rain.
Yesterday was dry in many areas with spells of sunshine, however, mist and fog lingered on some western and northern coasts, with scattered showers across the country in the afternoon.
Temperatures are now set to go down over the rest of the week with plenty of showers and cooler and unsettled conditions.
Today will see more outbreaks of rain to western coastal counties through the morning and afternoon, spreading eastwards in the evening. The showers are also likely to become heavy or thundery at times once again.
Temperatures will be less warm than the previous week with highest temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees generally.
Tuesday will become largely cloudy again with scattered showers spreading across the country from the west, turning heavier and more frequent as the day goes on with more occasional thundery bursts.
Temperatures will be cooler yet again with highs of 16 to 20 degrees.
Wednesday will see a mix of showers and sunny spells, with the showers again turning heavy and possibly thundery through the day. Highest temperatures will hit 15 to 18 degrees.
Thursday will be another largely cloudy day with showery rain across the country, occasionally turning heavy and highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees.
Meanwhile, conditions will remain generally unsettled through Friday and the weekend with showers feeding in from the northwest and temperatures staying around normal in the mid to high teens.
