Very sad news.
A man, believed to be in his late 30s/early 40s, has died after the taxi he was a passenger in was involved in a crash.
According to RTÉ, the crash happened at Summerhill Parade in Dublin City at approximately 1:40am on Friday.
The taxi driver sustained minor injuries but the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was not injured in the crash.
A forensic investigation took place this morning and the road has now reopened.
