Update: Tayto Park will no longer be opening on June 18.
Tayto Park is officially reopening on Thursday June 18 with limited capacity and new social distancing measures in place.
The Co Meath theme park and zoo will be limited to 1,450 entries per day and will only admit pre-booked ticket holders.
Tayto Park staff have been fully trained in Covid-19 procedures to ensure the health and safety of all visitors. A number of notable changes have also been made to the park in accordance with the government's guidelines on Covid-19.
These include:
Carpark staff will instruct visitors where to park. All parking spots will be spaced apart to ensure a 2 metre distance between any visitors unloading their car
Some staff will be wearing masks or face coverings
Temperature check team upon arrival
Perspex screens in place at most till points
Contactless payment where possible
Ground markings in the queue of each attraction to ensure social distancing is maintained
The Lodge Restaurant will be operating as a take away service only
“This is not how we envisaged opening the doors of Tayto Park in 2020 as we celebrate 10 years," said park founder Raymond Coyle.
"That being said we are thrilled to be announcing that we will be open on June 18th. We ask all our guests to be patient, think of fellow guests and indeed Tayto Park staff as we all get used to this new normal and have a great time visiting Tayto Park."
