Tragic news.
A male teenager has died following an incident at a beach in Dublin.
In a statement, a Garda spokesperson told JOE.ie that the teen got into difficulty while swimming at Burrow Beach in Sutton on Monday (11 July).
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the incident at around 7.30pm and pulled the male from the water.
He was first taken to Beaumont Hospital where his condition was described as serious.
However, he was later transferred to CHI [Children’s Health Ireland] at Temple Street, where he passed away from his injuries.
