A video of an elderly woman being robbed has gone viral this week after her granddaughter Jillian posted the video to her Facebook page.
The video, which other Facebook users have described as "disgraceful", shows the 94-year-old Waterford woman coming into a building and stopping just inside the door to organize herself. However, two thieves are lurking outside and they target the elderly woman as she makes her way inside.
The poor woman’s vulnerability will certainly bring a tear to your eye as she is robbed by the pair, who follow her on inside past the eye of the CCTV camera at the end.
It is believed that the envelope that they take from her bag has money which the 94-year-old had withdrawn from the post office.
Jillian has shared the video in the hopes that the pair will be caught and prosecuted. The incident reportedly took place in the Arundel Square area of the city.
