SWEATING.
As we’re all aware at this stage, Ireland is experiencing a heatwave and it is hot.
Not just any type of warm weather either, the heat is bordering on thirty degrees in parts of the country and we’re all melting.
Met Éireann has issued a High Temperature warning which will remain in place until 9 pm tomorrow night, Friday 29 June.
It reads:
“Maximum temperatures of 27 to 30 degrees Celsius will occur widely on Thursday and Friday and in excess of 30 degrees in places”.

This follows an earlier warning issued on Monday and it’s clear that the heatwave is going to continue for at least a week.
The national forecaster has warned that temperatures will be over thirty degrees in places, with those in Munster and Connacht urged to take extra care.

A temperature of 30.1 degrees has been recorded in Roscommon today already and there are reports that today could be the hottest day of the year so far.

If you find the intense heat difficult to cope with, stay inside while the sun is strongest, between the hours of 11 am and 3 am. It goes without saying that sunscreen is key and keep rehydrated by drinking plenty of water.
