Reports are emerging about thick black smoke filling the sky near the Vatican.
Witnesses said that they heard a loud bang before thick smoke began to rise. It’s believed that a car exploded near the Vatican City.

According to The Daily Mail, local buildings were evacuated while the fire department in Palazzo Viminale dealt with the fire. It reportedly happened in a wrecking yard.
At this point, it’s not believed to be terror-related.
