Three-month-old baby girl dies in dog attack in Co. Waterford

A three-month-old baby girl has died following a dog attack in Co. Waterford.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday morning at a house in Clashmore, west Waterford.
Paramedics attended the scene and the infant was taken to Cork University Hospital. She was pronounced dead at approximately 3.15am.
Gardaí confirmed the death today and are currently investigating the incident.
The scene has been preserved and the Garda Technical Bureau will carry out an examination later today. A postmortem is set to be carried out at Cork University Hospital.
